Is polyester always better than polypropylene?
No. Polyester is stronger and more durable; polypropylene is lighter, floats and costs less. The right choice depends on the product tier and use case.
Which webbing is better for dog collars?
Polyester is usually the stronger choice for premium dog collars, everyday leashes and load-bearing products because it offers better abrasion resistance, a richer finish and more consistent performance over time. Polypropylene can suit lighter, price-led or water-focused ranges.
Can the same design be woven in both yarns?
Yes. Many constructions can be developed in both polyester and polypropylene, allowing a brand to offer premium and economy tiers with a consistent visual language. Final specifications depend on width, thickness, weave and intended use.
