From Elastic Buyer to Pet Distributor
Our first country partnership in Eastern Europe did not start with pet
products at all. It started with waistband elastic.
The starting point
The customer is a textile manufacturer. For years, they bought one thing from us: the elastic that goes into the waistbands of the skirts they produce. A steady, unglamorous component relationship, the kind narrow fabric mills are built on.
The turn
When we launched the
Habby Pet program, they saw it before we pitched it. A collar or a leash is, at its core, woven webbing plus hardware, the materials they already trusted us on. They asked a simple question: could they carry Habby Pet in their market?
What we did together
We treated it as a project partnership, not a shipment. Habby supplied the product range, the catalogs, the samples and the product photography, so a company that had never sold a pet product could walk into retail conversations looking like it had. They supplied what we could not: local market knowledge and existing commercial relationships.
What Habby brought
- The Habby Pet product range
- Catalogs, ready for retail meetings
- Samples for every conversation
- Product photography
What the partner brought
- Local market knowledge
- Existing commercial relationships
- Retail conversations we could not open
Where it stands
The program started small, deliberately. Trial orders, market feedback, adjustments. Today the partnership runs on an annual purchasing plan, and the business has grown with it.
What this says about working with us
If you already buy components from Habby, the distance to a finished-product program is shorter than you think. The webbing, the hardware, the certification and the sewing are already under one roof.

Catalogs, samples and photography come with the partnership,
not as extras.
